For the pair · 5 ct tw · 18K white gold · made to order
Round Brilliant natural diamond stud earrings, 5.00 carats total weight, 2.50 ct per ear, GIA certified. Choose the diamond grade in the Quality selector: D-E color with VVS clarity, E-F with VS1, F-G with VS, or G-H with VS. The two diamonds are natural, hand-matched as a pair for color, clarity, cut, and size, each with its own GIA grading report, and set in a 4-prong setting in 18K white gold, 18K yellow gold, or platinum with push backs or screw backs. Made to order in our Los Angeles atelier in 8 to 12 business days, with complimentary insured overnight delivery in the United States, 40-day returns, and a lifetime warranty on manufacturing.
The exact color, clarity, carat weight, and measurements of each diamond appear on its GIA report, which we review with you before production begins.
A classic four-prong basket setting with thin polished prongs gripping the diamond at four points.
Are the diamonds natural? Yes. Both diamonds are natural, never lab grown, and independently graded by the Gemological Institute of America. Both original GIA reports ship with the earrings.
How are the two diamonds matched? Our gemologist pairs them for color, clarity, cut, and millimeter size so they read as one pair on the ear.
Which tier should I choose? D-E · VVS for colorless with the highest clarity. E-F · VS1 for colorless with VS1 clarity. F-G · VS for white, eye-clean diamonds, the tier most clients choose. G-H · VS for near colorless and eye-clean, especially in yellow gold.
What will the exact carat weight be? At least 5.00 ct total, about 2.50 ct per ear. The precise weight, grades, and measurements are on each GIA report.
What about cut? Both round brilliants carry a GIA cut grade of Excellent or Very Good.
Push back or screw back? Push backs are the classic friction back and the easiest to wear daily. Screw backs thread onto the post for extra security with larger diamonds.
How long until they arrive? 8 to 12 business days to make them in Los Angeles, then complimentary insured overnight delivery in the United States. International delivery is available.
Can I speak with a gemologist? Yes. John Anderson, Lead Gemologist, 1-800-779-1726, john@rockher.com. We review both diamonds and their GIA reports with you before they are set.
Returns and insurance? 40-day returns. For loss, theft, or accidental damage we recommend Jewelers Mutual or BriteCo.

How well the diamond returns light. The most important C: a poorly cut diamond looks dull no matter how large or clear it is. We only set Excellent and Very Good cut grades.
How colorless the diamond is, graded D through Z. For studs, H to I is the sweet spot: the stones read white in the ear at a fraction of the cost of D to F grades.
Internal characteristics, graded from Flawless to Included. Earrings are viewed at arm's length, never under a loupe, so eye-clean stones read flawless in the ear. Our gemologists verify every stone we set is eye-clean.
The weight and visual size of the stone. Studs are listed by total carat weight across the pair, so 1/2 ct. t.w. means each ear carries a quarter carat.

Against manufacturing defects, for the life of the piece.
Total carat weight. The listed weight is split across the pair, so a 1/2 ct. t.w. pair carries a quarter carat in each ear. Jewelers list studs by the pair total because that is how the pair reads when worn.
These studs are set with natural diamonds, selected for their light performance. We also offer lab grown diamond studs as a separate line if you prefer that route.
Speak with a gemologist. Our gemologists can source the same setting with different carat weights, clarity grades, or metals, and will walk you through the trade-offs before you decide. Guidance is always complimentary.
Every pair is reviewed by our Lead Gemologist before it ships. Bring us your questions about clarity, color, or sizing up.
