Lab grown diamonds are real diamonds. Physically, chemically, and optically identical to earth-mined diamonds — the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness (10 on the Mohs scale), the same light behavior. A gemologist cannot distinguish a lab diamond from a mined diamond without specialized equipment.
The difference is origin. Lab grown diamonds are grown in controlled environments using processes that replicate the conditions under which natural diamonds form. They are not simulants. They are not cubic zirconia. They are not moissanite. They are diamonds — graded on the same D-to-Z color scale, the same FL-to-I3 clarity scale, and the same cut standards as any mined diamond.
At D/VVS1/Ideal Cut, a lab grown diamond and a mined diamond of equivalent grades are visually and structurally indistinguishable. The price difference is significant. The quality is not.

What is included in a RockHer Select ring?
Every ring includes both the setting and a lab grown center diamond. D color, VVS1 clarity, Ideal Cut, IGI certified. This is a complete engagement ring — not a setting only.
Are lab grown diamonds real diamonds?
Yes. Lab grown diamonds are physically and chemically identical to mined diamonds — same carbon structure, same hardness (10 Mohs), same optical properties. They are graded on the same GIA scale and certified by the same independent labs.
What does D/VVS1 mean?
D is the highest color grade — completely colorless. VVS1 is the second-highest clarity grade — virtually flawless. Together, D/VVS1 is the top quality tier available in a diamond.
What are Hearts & Arrows?
A symmetry and optical precision standard exclusive to round diamonds. Fewer than 1% of all rounds achieve it. Required on every RockHer Select round diamond.
Can I see my diamond before the ring is made?
Yes — always. Your gemologist sends you the IGI certificate and a photograph of your specific diamond for approval before production begins.
What ring sizes are available?
Sizes 4 through 9, including all half sizes.

Are the accent diamonds natural or lab grown?
All accent and pavé diamonds in RockHer settings are natural earth-mined diamonds, hand-selected and color-matched to your center stone. We never use lab grown melee.
