Asscher diamonds are a favorite for vintage and architectural engagement ring styles, featuring a square step-cut with cropped corners and deep parallel facets, Art Deco geometry. Asschers are step-cut: clarity is more visible than in brilliant cuts. VS1 minimum, VVS preferred. Look for cropped corners that are even and proportional, an Asscher has no pointed corners.

Both. RockHer offers GIA-graded natural Asscher-cut diamonds and IGI-graded lab-grown Asscher-cut diamonds. Lab-grown stones cost 60 to 80% less than natural at the same specs and are physically identical. Natural diamonds retain stronger long-term value.
