Chief Executive Officer Jim Vernon is a second-generation jeweler who learned the trade at his father’s wholesale house, Frank Vernon Diamond Brokers. A graduate of Stanford Law who chose diamonds over the courtroom, he served on the board of the Diamond Club West Coast, on the board of managers of the American Gem Society Laboratories during the years it built its landmark diamond cut grading system, and as president of the United States Golf Association. For decades, his practice was commissioning personal pieces for a private clientele of executives, touring professionals, actors, and royalty, most of all in Los Angeles. Every piece was made for exactly one person.
Founder Shawn Feinblum is the fourth generation of a family in the international diamond and gemstone trade, a family that has owned and operated one of the industry’s large fine jewelry and gemstone houses since the 1980s. He grew up around colored stones and finished jewelry as much as diamonds. A GIA Graduate Gemologist, he built RockHer to answer that question at scale, spending two years encoding the family’s judgment into ROSI™, our gemological intelligence, alongside senior experts including former heads of the GIA Los Angeles laboratory.
