The Details

Everything Worth Knowing

A chain with real design intent: alternating bar and link construction creates a rhythm along the length of the necklace, and the two-tone construction layers a second level of contrast between yellow and white gold. Substantial, considered, and unusually modern for solid gold.

Styling notes. A collector’s piece and a statement piece at once. Wear alone as the single dominant note in an otherwise quiet look, open collar, simple knit, clean tailoring. Holds its own against bold prints and structured outerwear.

Caring for Your Pendant

Worn Daily, Treated Gently

Cleaning at Home

Warm water, a drop of mild soap, and a soft brush or cloth. Rinse and pat dry. Stones attract skin oils, and a gentle clean every few weeks keeps the sparkle where it belongs.

What to Avoid

Perfume, hairspray, and lotion go on before the necklace, never after. Take it off for pools and the ocean; chlorine and salt are unkind to stones and gold alike.

Storing the Chain

Lay it flat in a soft pouch or hang it by the clasp. Never coil a fine chain tightly; kinks are the one thing a chain does not forgive.

Professional Care

If the clasp feels loose, a stone rattles, or the chain snags, talk to a jeweler before wearing it again. We will tell you exactly what it needs.

Length Guide

Where Will It Sit?

The same pendant reads completely differently at fourteen inches and at twenty two. Here is where each length lives on the body.

14″ 16″ 18″ 20″ 22″
14″ChokerSits at the base of the neck. Best with V-necks, off shoulder, and open necklines.
16″PrincessThe most popular length. Sits at or just above the collarbone, flattering on nearly everyone.
18″MatineeJust below the collarbone. The right call for crew necks, button downs, and turtlenecks.
20″Long PrincessAbove the bust line. Layers beautifully over shorter chains.
22″OperaMid bust, a statement length. Best worn alone or as the longest piece in a stack.

Stack lengths at least two inches apart so each piece sits on its own plane. Sixteen and eighteen is the classic two piece pairing.

Questions, Answered

Before You Decide

What chain length is right for me?

Sixteen inches, the princess length, sits at or just above the collarbone and flatters nearly every neckline; it is the length most people wear daily. Eighteen inches sits just below the collarbone and suits crew necks and higher collars. Fourteen inches is a choker, best with V-necks and open necklines. The full guide is above, and if you are between choices, a jeweler can help you decide in one call.

Will this layer with a necklace I already own?

Usually, yes. The rule that makes layering work: keep at least two inches between lengths so each piece sits on its own plane. A sixteen inch pendant over an eighteen or twenty inch chain is the classic stack, and it keeps the two from tangling.

Can I get this design in a different metal or with different stones?

Often, yes. Every piece is made to order in our Los Angeles atelier, and many designs can be built in another gold color or with a different stone. Talk to a jeweler and we will tell you what is possible for this design before you commit to anything.

What if it is not right when it arrives?

You have 40 days. If the piece is not what you expected once it is on, return it for a full refund. If it is close but not quite, talk to a jeweler; there is often an adjustment that gets it exactly right.

A Gift That Lands
