Cubic Zirconia

Shortened to CZ, this gem is highly popular for its low price. It is made up of zirconium dioxide, and hence has a lower hardness than moissanite at 8 to 8.5 on the Mohs’ scale. This means CZ requires careful handling to avoid scratches, which could reduce its brilliance.

White Sapphire
